A great moment in Chicago concert history, with a timeless piece, captured beautifully. Notably at the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival, Steve performed this with Clapton, Bramhall, and Trucks--a great performance--but seeing this from Petty's 2008 Chicago event with Winwood, which I had the pleasure of experiencing, was a real treat. This goes right into my faves alongside the XRoads piece. Thanks a Trillion for posting this.

I have to say that I think Mike Campbell might be the best lead guitarist nobody knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zookeeper: I've been a subscriber of yours for "oh so long". What impresses me about this video is the way Petty stays out of the way while Campbell and Winwood jam, Did Campbell memorize Clapton licks when covering Blind Faith songs in the 70's? Who didn't? Great work.

Zombie Zookeeper: I've been a subscriber of yours for 'oh so long'. What impreses me in this video is how Tom kept 'out' of the picture once he saw there was chemistry between Winwood and Mike Campbell. Campbell plays Clapton (Blind Faith) leads like a pro. Like a guy who'd learned them for Blind Faith cover songs in the 1970's. (duh, he did, who didn't?) So, the trade-off licks and looks from Campbell and Winwood MAKE this video for me. Thanks for posting (once again). -JERRY

Steve Winwood performed at the inauguration gala of Bill Clinton, but try as I might, I can't remember the name of this song. Can anyone share it with me?

He's still fucking good!

Amazing when tou think that Blind Faith first performed this in 1969, Steve Winwood played keyboards and sang. The guitarist was Eric Clapton. Must take some guts to follow Claptons footsteps with your 'second' instrument, an entirely different band and manage to pull it off so well - beautiful song and brilliantly performed, excellent stuff.
