george bush was probably right when he said one day the history books will proclaim me a great president. by that time it will be like mandatory to kiss ass.
-
Well, since he did sooooooo good, I don't see why he would have to do that.
It's self-defeating in a way.
-
He shouldn't talk about John Adams like that. He was a great American hero and Bush doesn't even compare to his shadow.

Quit blaming Bush and Obama. It's like getting mad at a ventriloquist's puppet. Grow up.

lol, Bush the president that murdered ! The President that lied straight faced ! The President that created distrust from all parts of the world and led to the collapse of the American Dollar. "An economy doesn't crash overnight."
There are always long-standing systemic problems that lead to a collapse, usually ignored until too late. Even so, history is filled with examples of sudden, catastrophic downturns: Holland in 1637, Ireland in 1740 and 1845, the US Panic of 1837, Weimar in 1929, among others. And in Hoover's case, as I said, it was the GOP who held the WH and Congress in the years prior to the disaster. Then as now, the GOP wasn't up to forestalling the crisis.

If Hoover "inherited the depression" he gave no indication he thought so prior to 1929. Indeed, his 1928 campaign theme was that times had never been better, and would get even better under his administration. His campaign slogan, if you recall, was "A chicken in every pot, and two cars in every garage."
And just for the sake of argument, if Hoover DID "inherit " the Depression, it was from GOP presidents Harding and Coolidge. The GOP had complete control of the gov. from 1921 on.

After the peak of real estate in 1925 it was downhill. Not to mention the stock market bubble burst but prior to the bust many stocks more than tripled by conservative estimates. People then began to believe that the stock market was a sure thing and took out loans to buy stocks. An economy doesn't crash over night. Don't talk about ignorance in history when you, yourself are ignorant in history.
I see you are enjoying your koolaid.

Bush killed 50 million muslims and raped several camels, actually.
Then he was seen stealing bananas from the White House kitchen.
