1980. Glad you likedit. It's going to show again for the first time in front of a movie audience on May 5th at the Talking Stick Coffee Lounge on Lincoln Blvd. at California in Venice, California at 8 pm. Plus 5 more of my film shorts. All less than a year old.

For 3 weeks in 1979 my boyfriend & I stayed at a motel in Hollywood. Almost every night we ate at this diner. What a blast to see it again so many years later. Great film, great location - thanks!
@AstrimaProductions : Thanks. I ate there for 2 years when I first came to L.A. and lived around the corner. It was the only place I could afford as a "starving actor". I think you and your boyfriend and me were Solly's only customers. That's why I put the address at the end of the film: to get him customers. 3 weeks after we finished the film he went broke, closed and moved back to Oklahoma. Too bad, because for months after it got distributed, people went there looking for it.
It took 4 days. It was a 3-day shoot but one day was wasted because it had to be shot over as the camera was out of register. It was shot a diner (Really: "Solly's Diner) on Hollywood Blvd, near the corner of Western Ave. in Los Angeles. The diner was closed and turned into turned into a video game arcade 2 weeks after we shot there. The actual address is in the credits at the end of the short. Thanks for asking.

A well deserved Oscar win! How long did it take to shoot this and where about was it shot?
