A tutorial that shows you how you can quickly and easily clean up your photos shot over white or light gray by using the dodge tool in Adobe Photoshop. This allows you to avoid having to make a selection or using masking.

  • @freedomclan no problem. Your best bet is to try and get it right in the camera, and with proper lighting - but this is a good backup, or method to use just to touch up certain spots that might have been a little dark.

  • but when I use the dodge tool, it does affect the subject that I was shooting , like the sun glasses in your example.

    is that normal?

  • Watch the intensity - I use 15% most of the time. Also make sure you adjust your brush size accordingly
