@freedomclan no problem. Your best bet is to try and get it right in the camera, and with proper lighting - but this is a good backup, or method to use just to touch up certain spots that might have been a little dark.

but when I use the dodge tool, it does affect the subject that I was shooting , like the sun glasses in your example.
is that normal?

Watch the intensity - I use 15% most of the time. Also make sure you adjust your brush size accordingly
