all companies have issues not just trucking and not just usxpress. we started out as company drivers back in 1999 and then went lease and now have been owner op with our own company least to them since 2002 and all who ready this post just remember a job is what you make it and if you are bashing this company you should go work at wal mart because I suppose they treat you better lmao....we are now making $1500 or more a week and we only run Texas and Louisiana and off on Saturday easy money!!!
If you are going to drive OTR, then expect the unexpected. All the companys are basically the same. They have to cater to the shippers and recievers. Trucking Companys do not want to screw you, they just have to get the loads to their destination's. If you are married, you better have a great understanding wife!!!, A bad wife can make your life miserable for you on the road. Once you know how to handle OTR, You will find it easy, but right out of school?, Learn patience. Very important.
haha, I never get naged at over the QC... I don't even get load info over the QC! I don't have a QC and will never run for another company again that tracks with a QC or any other device...
I know what you mean, I ran a few short runs for them over in PA one day and the next day they had me loaded up going down to the yard in Laredo. I just wish I had never left. I left to go drive piggybacks because of better pay and better benefits and after a year and a half got layed off. Just goes to show that the grass isnt always greener on the other side of the fence. Stay safe.
i completely agree i have been with USX for 2 years. yes, they do have there heads up there asses on occasions but then again what company doesnt. me and my driver manager are constantly on the same page, not one single moment do i sit and have to wait for a load. if freight is slow in a area i take a 100 or so mile short haul for them, drop it off and get a 1000+ mile run for doing them the short hauls that everyone complains about. you help them out, they will help you out
