To remove a tile, use a nail set to mark the surface then drill holes through the tile using a carbide tipped masonry bit. Chisel away the title using a cold chisel and remove any loose mortar.

  • Okay with just one tile but a lot easier with a demo hammer drill and spade/chisel attachment. I'll have to do a video on it...

  • I would definitely remove the grout from around the tile first, but that trick with using the nailset to get some starter holes before you start chiseling was very helpful. Thanks!

  • You should just gut the whole bathroom - grab the sledge hammer!

  • My bathroom looks just like that one only different colors. Even the edging is the same. How would you remove all the tile so you can re-tile the entire bathroom?

  • Not so easy if its 3 inches of concrete in a 60 yr old Chicago Brick house ! LOL
