This presentation needs to state the BENEFITS of quitting porn (and masturbation) That was the main reason for recovery for me. Increased confidence, less every day stress, less depression, easier to sleep, easier to interact with women etc.

@StopPornSaveLove Meditation is a critical part because we have to learn how to manage our thoughts and focus them.

Drishde, an ancient yogic science and technology concept that came out of the oldest philosphical texts in the world (Vedanta), describe the same thing...our brains cannot tell the difference between a thought and something happening. But its about focus, if you lose your sobriety - you lose your focus, this is a slip for the energy level of the being that cannot maintain its "awake" and aware state, and thus "loses" its intrinsc beingness, it weakens...you see addiciton. Do Yoga Meditation!

If someone purposely pursues a conscious spirituality, that should cultivate the prefrontal cortex. It would be an interesting study to compare addiction among people of different religions; or persons who have converted to a religion/faith/practice vs, those who espouse none vs. those who maintain nomimal allegiance to one.

@andrjsh We don't have a study comparing different religions but we do know that there is a higher success rate among all addiction recovery programs with those who believe in a higher being.
