  • He needs a bigger shell! But soooo cute!!!

  • Guten tag! Wie gehts?

  • leaf is to crab as gum is to human @ 0:19

  • @MoaBaloa but the video was filmed in the indies so its a brevimanus ;D. clepeatus lives in the Caribbean.

but yeah your right about the colours "my bad "

  • By the way, I have both C. clypeatus, C. brevimanus, C. rugosus and C. compressus here at home, so it's not hard for me to tell the difference among the species. ^^ Another very obvious characteristic sign that shows that the hermit crab in the video (a very handsome little fellow by the way ;) ) is a C. clypeatus is that he/she has dark granules on it's legs - C. brevimanus don't. The both species also have different colours on their antennas. :)

  • @ohyourgoingdown No, it's a Coenobita clypeatus. They're not att all especially similar to each other. For example, C. brevimanus has more spiderlike legs, totally different eyestalks and other colours. And why are you saying that C. clypeatus don't have that colour on it's legs? That's a very common colour, especially on larger examples. :)

  • Wow he looks big! Very beautiful (:

  • pretty crab.

  • @naturalfeatures thats totaly a brevimanus the clypeatus hasnt got that much couler on its legs but yeah they look alot like each other because of ther pinchers
