is it important the spacing of the stator magnets?

if i remember correctly, the original one that seemed to work had 3 stators, but only 1 was spinning anti-gearwise, and the main rotor accelerated when the other 2 were stopped.
Have you tried it this way?

When the motor's running, let it stabilize in speed and after a while, stop 2 of 3 stator at the same time. i see a video with a guys doing this and the speed increase dramaticaly just after. is this reproducible ? can you try it for me plz ? and post video...
