Pearl Harbor visit March 2 2011

I made a trip to the Pearl Harbor Memorial in Hawaii during my recent trip to the island. The tour group is called Discover Hawaii Tours. Excellent tour.

Their guides are certified experts on all things Pearl Harbor, and you will get a historic narration throughout your tour and the many museums you will see throughout your tour. From the brand new Visitor Center to the many displays located around the entrance to Pearl Harbor and the USS Oklahoma Memorial, there is much to see.

Board the USS Arizona Memorial, the representation of the beginning of the war for the United States and stand above the wreckage of the ship. Many soldiers lost their lives within the ship and are still entombed today. This is an experience of emotions that you do not want to miss.

On the deck of the Battleship Missouri, you will get an insiders knowledge from an actual Missouri expert. On the deck you will feel the power of the great battleship, which served for more than 50 years, stand beneath the massive guns, see historic locations, and stand on the surrender deck where World War II officially ended.
