This is the kill shot of Dave Mullins World record Striped Marlin of 156.6kg's shot at Three kings in NZ in Apprill 2004. For the last 2.5hrs this fish has been towing David around the pacific Ocean, and after it had tired, dave put a 2nd shot in it to secure it.

  • That fish looked like it had been dead for quite some time. Maybe they bought it from the market and faked the spearfishing part.

  • if you hate on this and you're vegan fair enough. if you eat meat and you think this is cruel you are a retard

  • nice fish man!!!!!! wish i coulda been there to put on in em!!!

  • NICE

  • @caissonated I know what you mean. I'm a fisher too. I got in lakes a fish my fishs. I hit em a the head to kill them.. BUT I dont fucking throw 2 arrows at them ? wtfuck is that shit ? i mean seriously. i know there is worst things in the world. But .. its looked cruel to me. no big deal.

  • @BasketBallGuys Consider this. That fish was dead with the first shot. Second shot is often used as the kill (humane) shot or to secure a big fish like this. SOmething has to die so we can eat. The fish the wider society eat are caught using deep sea trawling. I've seen 3 tonne of a 4 tonne net load get thrown over the side as bycatch....dead....crushed. Cruel? The fish I eat is selected and shot. I catch only what I eat. Spearfishing is a sport but we do eat what we catch. Thanks.

  • How to grow your own crops. What would you do if Henry's or Trader Joes got taken away. You'd probably eat grass till you die off from malnutrition. Every spearo that I've ever come across has a deep respect for the ocean and wants to protect so that we still can support our ways of self sustainment. He won't ever see a spearo disrespect the regulations of fishing and guess what else. No bycatch

  • Man has been killing animals to survive from the beginning of time. We learned from the animals that we need meat to live. Actually jumping into the water and taking the risk in the wilderness is way more respectable than paying someone else to do it. If a spearo catches more the he/she can eat then they give the rest to family and friends. If u wanna hate on someone look at commercial fishing statistics. Ps u will all be the first to die off if we all loose electricity. I bet u don't even know

  • that's cruel. end/
