@Ascyllia1 I have to agree, and don't get me wrong, I was and still am a fan of the RE series, well, maybe not so much of 5, but when I played Silent Hill for the first time It changed the way I would forever look at Survival Horror games. I've played so many titles claiming that they are dark, scary and twisted and still nothing has shown up and grabbed my attention quite like SH. The only other title that's worthy of an honorable mention would be Siren.

What I find oh so terribly amusing is there are still unworthy infidels attempting to equate Resident Evil with Silent Hill. Give me an hour or so while I point at them and laugh so hard my lungs explode.

Resi is great i don't care what anyone says, but as the years went by silent hill took over. 1 2 3 and 4 were all great games in their own rights, all a little different andultimately proved to be the real masters of survival horror, these games are the reasons asian ghost stories are popular these days, the ring, the grudge, they only came about because this franchise made real horror popular :D Resi is more an action game these days

The best part about Silent Hill is when you play so many you start to see its not truly about horror, but love, hate, happiness, and misery. Am i the only one who notices none of the characters are ever truly scared, only worried?
