  • I simply do not understand the negative reviews this production recieved, both for the staging and Kaufmann's singing... it looks and sounds sublime. Even Nagano!

  • Kaufmann didn't get negative reviews.

  • Grande, grandissimo Jonas!!!!!!!!

  • Rudolf Schock is my favourite Lohengrin of all time, but Jonas Kaufmann is absolutely fabulous in this part, as in every part he puts his mind and voice to. For me he and Klaus Florian Vogt are the great Wagner-tenors of our time. The staging is modern, but I enjoyed it. The beautiful thing about Wagner is that you can do almost anything with him stage wise, because his music is eternal. This goes especially for the Ring, bot I believe to a large extent it also applies to most of his other works

  • Bravo Jonas, Tenor de los Tenores....

  • I think the singing is magnificent! I don't know what some people are hearing. It will be some years before he grows into a real heldentenor, but he has all the elements. I just hope he doesn't rush into heavy Wagner and hurt his throat. I know he is too intelligent to do that. I want him to continue to sing French and Italian operas before he becomes a Wagnerian singer.

  • @cloudintrousers NO NEGATIVE REVIEWS....EVER.

  • @dvdgrog i love him in Wagner:)

  • @leonorafl why should he anyway? he is great here :)

  • mein lieber schwein

  • @TsarBovov Amazing how differently people can hear the same thing. As for me, it doesn't get better than this, and I've been into opera for fifty years.
