Software Centre

In previous editions of Ubuntu, we had an add/remove program section which was under applications menu. This has now been replaced by the Ubuntu Software Centre. I review this new system.

You can queue up software to install, by going back to the application install and select another one to install. Its a bit clunky, but it does work.

Go to the software centre and search "add/" and it should be the first on the list.

because my "upgrade" from ubuntu 9.04 studio to 9.10 failed i had to reinstall using a cdrom from the scratch. even with a mainboard about 2 years old now it was not able to make my soundcard work "out of the box". HOW SAD IS THAT ?? Now imagine a simple computer user..maybe new to linux and all.. WHAT DO YOU THINK HE MIGHT THINK ABOUT THAT ?? i bet no simple user will ever use linux again the next years because of those critical bugs.. Ubuntu 9.10 IS BAD!!! New users better use Ubuntu 9.04
