Lights go out in Parliament

As Kevin Fudd continues his gasbagging in the House Of Representatives chamber in defence of the ETS during Question Time, the lights go out as a thunderstorm hits Canberra. Opposition members warned the Government that this is the sort of thing we can expect if Australia signs energy-reduction schemes like the Kyoto Protocol while more and more people occupy this planet to consume more and more energy, thereby causing blackouts such as these.
The blackout (said to be caused by a lightning strike to a nearby substation) occurred at 2.59pm, right before the ABC was due to end coverage anyway, so we were lucky to have been able to see this footage.
