I absolutely love this reckless perfection!!!!

My all time favorite hymn! Doesn't get any better that powerful organ played by a true master with choir! Thanks Virgil! You are sorely missed!

This is an epic rendition of one of my favourite christmas hymns, Virgil Fox was the man. R.I.P.

Heard and owned many of his records, but I never got to see a live performance. He is the touchstone against whom all other organists are measured. What a Christmas treat to hear him again.

If this were the only surviving video of the man, it would suffice. Showman? Yes. Showy? Sure. Talented? More than words. He CLEARLY loved the music. He loved to lift other with his music.Would that people could say such about me when I'm gone. He let us hear God. Need I say more? Thanks to whoever for this post.

The man had TALENT and brought joy to many. Would that we could all say that second part about our lives. I saw him perform and love listening to anyone who loves to get out of a pipe organ what he could!

@mpmcd81 JS Bach had 20 kids because his organ had no stops...

Ohhh!!! to be Virgil... How fantastic he was. I wish I have known him in this life.

I think I might have figured out who organman is, Michael Murray. The timeline is right for studying in France, he studied with Marcel Dupre. You see Michael and I both studied organ under Dr. Mallory Bransford of Indianapolis (Who was a HUGE Virgil Fox Fan AND friend). I have attended 2 master classes Micheal put on and in both classes made little snide comments about Virgil Fox. Michael, if it is you, Mallory would be so disappointed in you! You are NO Virgil Fox.

Quite right - great performers will always attract jealous nobodies who try and cut them down. And what the hell has sexuality got to do with any of it?
