  • Actually, I meant to say that is not the way I was taught low kicks in my kyokushin school. Another thing... in your school leg conditioning is not a major part of your system because the guy in the black gi should not have to walk off the pain after being kicked that lightly. He should be able to take much stronger kicks than what the master was doing.

  • @Haseeb2 I think you seemed to have missed the point. 1st, you must see the entire instruction as this is only a preview. That said, GM Lee demonstrates many ways to do the chopkick to the leg. What he's pointing out is that by kicking with the shinbone which is most sharp on the inside of the shin, you can injure the opponent more and deliver greater pain. If you did not notice, GM Lee was kicking fairly hard to the leg. The partner is only shaking it off when struck with the shin's sharp area.
