  • The "Live at the Harlem Square Club" version is better. Well, you could say that about all the songs on that record, except for "Having a Party". But, man, is that record great.

  • For sure, my friend. Elmore had two fantastic tunes as "Dust my broom" and "Strange kind-a-feeling" who are my favourites. Clyde and the Drifters were frantic at the beggining of rock era. Little Wille John's still nº1 on my list with his rendition of country tune "Why don't you haul off and love me". Chuck Willis is a very recognized pioneer; I love sitll "Hang out my rock'n'roll shoesª. But in any case (in my estimation) they can't beat my poker of idols. I add Little Richard for a re-poker.

  • The bass voice on this song is Lou Rawls. If you know the song 'Bring It On Home To Me' he is also the baritone/bass voice on that one.

  • wouw wat geweldig is deze muziek toch

wat een klasse zanger jammer dat hij niet meer onder ons is

het was een hele grote zanger

  • Who is that bass voice behind sam?

  • Are you for real? "Having a Party" On that record is a killer! The number of times I've smashed an R&B/Reggae audience by dropping that track is beyond mathematics!!! Each to their own. Sam Cooke is God.
