Finding an Electric Ducted Fan in my collection of gadgets, and seeing this 2 meter glider hanging in the garage, seemed like a challenge. So I put the motor on the wing, and this is what happened. Thanks for watching.

  • i'd like to see it fly on a windless day.

i dont like EDF'S you need so much power to get a plane into the air,

  • Haha. Better check out the ducted fan jet videosof mine off my cagtapult launcher, especially the big F-18.. They weigh so little, it doesnt take much.

  • I've watched loads of these home project videos and its real nice to see a successful result great job i would love to try it but all i have is a hair dryer and i could never get an extension cord long enough to power it lol great vid thanks mate.

  • Haha. Hopefully, by now, you got a longer extension cord. Thanks.

  • You need to trim off your extra rudder servo horns. it's tweaking your servo by hitting the insides.

  • reaaaally cool mate!

the engine was holding the glider, but when you start it, WOW really cool!

    take care, god bless you!

  • awwesome!!!!!!!!!! not a badd 1st ruN!! ON A KALM DAY THAT THING SHUD BE AWESOME!

  • elevator music epic lolol;p

  • is that a brushed edf?

  • @Spicyperson9123 props are by far more efficient than EDCs, hence, props can reach much higher speeds as well. I won't comment on which one is simpler to build... the prop with a prop and motor, or the edc with fan, duct, motor, t..... you get the point

  • lol, sooo windy it just hovers there for a bit! :) Thanks, great work!

  • prop is not very efficient and slow so i'll go for the ducted fan becuse they're more efficient and run on eletric motors and they're simiple to build
