  • @thx291 Sounds somewhat contradictory!

  • brilliant director

  • @thx291 well to be fair...humans develop, people want to see character development in films, yet people talk about directors and actors as if they contradict themselves from something they have said in the past, people change their minds...hell look at speilberg and how he only makes very profitable mainstream movies as opposed to his very difficult groundbreaking attempts of the past (sharks, dinosaurs, aliens like we had never seen before)

  • ce mec est un génie!!! french connection is the most great movie ever!!! aun "chef d'oeuvre"!!! du 7eme art!!! intemporel!! with the great don ellis soundtrack!!

  • Hurricane Billy is the MAN!

  • maybe he changed his mind.

  • It's strange in this interview he claims he was only making movies he wanted to see and really wasn't thinking about if they would have a wider appeal. Yet I have an interview with him on my channel where he talks about the box office failure of "Sorcerer" where he says (verbatim) "we don't make these movies to hang in the Louvre. We make them to be seen by as many people as possible and when a film isn't seen and doesn't have a good release it's dissapointing."

  • Great man.
