  • I know, I trained Sankudo with him when I was younger.

    It's not a disgrace at all. If you watch today's athletes in those kind of competitions, you might call this a disgrace. But what is really amazing with Jean it's how he was able to be efficient in his movements.

    Also, doing katas on music is such a great way in improving your functionnal karate abilities. Especially for young praticionner. Jean was a great athlete in his speciality and I respect what he did.

  • Why would you call this a disgrace? He's technicaly very good compared to what we actually see in competitions from all around the world. By the way he pratices Goju-ryu.

  • Saw him compete in 80's...one of musical Kara pioneers..first Kata with music was performed by jhoon Rhee...chuckie curry and Ernie Reyes and west coast demo team..George chung on west coast...John Chung on east...also Cynthia rothrock..also Stuart quan,charlie lee amongst others..and Anthony chan wushu.
