How "Green" works:

Well, it makes a wonderful feel-good logo. People use it to sell their stuff - even if it isn't really "green". People who jump on the bandwagon, like politicians love to be in the "green" spotlight, but rarely do little to reduce their own actually footprint. The fact is "green" is a great way to make yourself feel better.

Of course, common sense would be a better guideline. Why trash your own planet? But, whatever makes you "feel good"...
