http://www.ntv.co.ke There was drama in Kariokor Estate on Thursday morning when residents tried to repulse City Council workers who wanted to demolish their fence to create room for a bus park.
the mayor is accountable to the area councillor coz they elected him NOT these screaming residents who pay taxes. He owes his office tenure to a few councillors who will fake accidents to have him elected
This is Philip Kisia's rite of passage. If this is all his "professional approach" can come up with then Nairobi, and by extension Kenya, is certainly in trouble. How will these hardworking citizens go about their lives with a horde of transport crews hooting and howling right outside their windows? What of the children? What happened to people's rights?
Damn ... I can't imagine all the noise those folks will have to deal with considering how loud those matatu's are with their crazy drivers and conductors ...
Hakuna Land Use and Planning Department in Kenya ...
Not Caledonia, they still have their peace up there, I am talking about the estate across the bridge from Shauri. Blame it on Tusker, got no gray receptors left
Just who in his right senses can authorize such a move.I have never witnessed insensitivity so gross.Which reminds me of that estate which Gikomba has since swallowed and of course Caledonia.Growing up Nairobi was so organized,KBS came on time and there were no robbers, just a few beggars and pick-pockets and you always blamed your self incase you fell a victim. Perhaps these Bus Parks should be relocated to Riverside,Msongari,Loresho,Karen,Kabete Rd so that the rulers may too feel the love etc
this what you get when your being told to vote for public candidate who care and you only vote for the same crap...

They should go build that bus park outside state house, enough room there. Not in residential areas.
