Recap: Megan answered Kevin's phone


Megan. Oh hi. This is Denise.
Oh hi.
Is Kevin there? she asked.
Ummhes actually asleep. I replied.
Well is Joseph there then?
Hes asleep too. I answered.
Oh. Can I speak to Nicholas then?
Oh god. I said.
What? she asked.
Denise, I dont know how to tell you this. I started.
Oh my god. What happened? she began to panic.
Nick. He collapsed on stage in London almost a week and a half ago. His Omni-pod wasnt working right and his blood sugar was so low. He was just flown into NYC yesterday. Hes still unconscious. I explained.
Oh my god. Well be there as soon as we can get a flight out of here. She said. I heard Kevin Sr. in the background asking what was wrong.
Ok. Bye. I replied.
Bye. Thank you so much Megan. She said. I then hung up the phone and sat back down.
Who was that? Kevin asked.
Kevin. Youre awake. I replied.
Megan. Youre here. He said, stretching his arms up.
Yeah. I havent been here for very long. I just didnt want to wake you guys up.
Thanks. He said smiling. So who was that on the phone?
It was your mom. I replied.
Are they coming? he asked.
Yes. As soon as possible.
Thank god. He replied. I could tell he was so relieved. He was probably so stressed out about all this.
Why should we thank god? Joe asked yawning and opening his eyes.
Because Mom, Dad and Frankie are coming ASAP. Kevin replied.
Good. Joe replied. He then sat up and looked at me. He looked surprised that I was there.
Megan. When did you get here? he asked.
About 15 minutes ago. I replied. But you were sleeping and so was Kevin and I didnt want to wake you guys up. So I covered you up in these blankets and sat down. But then Kevins phone rang so I answered it and it was your Mom and she had no clue what was going on so I had to tell her and then she said they would be here as soon as possible.
Thank god youre here too. Joe said.
I know. I was so scared. I replied.
Dont be. Hes going to be fine. Kevin reassured me.
I know. I paused. You guys need to go back to bed. You both look so beat.
Are you sure? Joe asked.
Yes. Im positive. Sleep. Now. I commanded.
Okay. Kevin said.
Fine with me. Joe added. They both then leaned back in their chairs and within 2 minutes were both sound asleep again.
I softly held Nicks hand again.
I love you Nick. Please wake up. They need you...I need you. I whispered into his ear. I pulled away from him and laid my head on his chest as another tear slid down my face.
Megan? someone asked softly and weakly. I whipped my head up.
