This is a big hit exclusively in Japan.
There is an unique phenomena in this market ,
The record company selected Japanese favorite tunes , voices and groups .
For example,
"An early in the morning " by Cliff Richard was released only in Japan
It was a mega hit in 1969.
I have been worked as a record producer in CBS/Sony in Japan
( now it changed the name to the Sony Music Entertainment,)

@davekc71 It may have (conveniently) escaped your attention but the band pictured (Edison lighthouse) were not sacked & continued to tour both here & the Continent well into 1971 before your lot picked up the scraps!
