On July 1 2008, Danny Cleary brought the Stanley Cup home to Hr. Grace. He brought it through the town, and stopped at St. Francis field to talk to the crowd of thousands and display the Cup for all to see.
After he was done on stage, he brought the Cup down to the center of the field into a display tent where people could get pictures taken with it. As he was on his way down, I was lucky enough to catch him on film as he walked right by me.
Truly an amazing experience and an incredible day, not to mention Danny made Newfoundland history and brought it home for everyone to share.
i am so glad Dan brought the cup to my grand fathers town, before cry baby crosby got to bring it to Dartmouth, oh sorry it says he was born in cole harbour, funny because the hospital is in halifax.
