This is a time lapse video art project of Cal Ripken made out of thumb tacks. This took me about 30 hours and used 10,115 thumb tacks.

@dmbarkley i understand not wanting to part with such and putting such an item at a high price but don't blame it on supply costs. thumbtacks are very inexpensive and while special ordering specific colors might bright up the total price still 400$ for tacks and a board to use them on is kinda high. tho you should def look into maybe making a few for sale / take orders for requests. in this day in age any talent that can be put to use should be.
125$ for 10,115 nickel tacks, colors cant be 300$

This was a Christmas present for my brother. We have talked about selling it but it would be hard to part with. The supplies alone cost $400 and it took over 30 hours to make. Let me know if you are still interested.

Well it was almost $400 just for the supplies to build it. 10,000 thumb tacks add up quick. Then I spent 30 hours making it. If you are still interested we can talk further.
