Why didn't Hyundai just create a luxury brand on its own for the Genesis and Equus?

There is no intention that I criticize at all if Hyundai does not steal the design of the other company.

Since Hyundai is calm and steals the design of the other company, it is criticized.

Isn't the reason known?

I think this is a really good car. It's on my list (the 2011 model) for cars that I am considering.

I have friends who own European & Japanese luxury brands. They are wealthy people who buy new luxury vehicles because they want to & have the means to do so. They are not the ones bashing other cars like the Genesis on youtube. Hmm....why do I have this very strong suspicion that those of you bashing are not in the league of my wealthy colleagues. If you could afford a brand new $50K BMW, you would be enjoying the car not bashing other cars on YouTube. Wannabe losers perhaps?

All cars cater to a certain demographic. I like the Genesis because it caters to someone who doesn't care to brandish a badge or look good to impress others. It appeals to me who wants a nice looking car that is also reliable and performs well with many luxury features. I like the fact that I didn't spend a lot of money to get this. I would rather spend my money on something else worthwhile like my kids. But if you like brand-prestige & high dollar cars, more power to you. I won't criticize

@biyorkman I guess that makes me the exception because I'm not in the low income group. Actually....are you suggesting that people in the low income bracket can afford a $30,000 car? Wow, your definition of low income is surely different from mine...actually, different from everyone elses including Webster's dictionary.

To the Haters:

Why don't you stop being negative and go troll sites about cars that you LIKE. Then you can just spend your waking hours saying nice things instead of spending it saying bad things. Life is too short. Do something positive for a change. Help someone less fortunate. Use that exhuberant energy and channel it toward something productive instead of being malicious. Unless you all are prepubescent boys...then it's just a matter of growing up!

To the bozos who have nothing better to do than bask this car:

Variety is the spice of life. The fact that we have different makers from different countries with different styles of cars is a good thing. It fosters competition and helps all manufactures to raise the bar by increasing quality and value while competing to keep costs down. Your bashing is a testament against free-market. If you don't like this car, then don't buy it. People like me will still buy it regardless of what you say.

@biyorkman Byorkman..sorry, I meant to call you by your real name, Bigotman. Don't you have anything better to do or say than to troll the Hyundai sites and bash them? It got old a long time ago. Look in the mirror and reprioritize your life. Do something constructive like community service at a food bank or a serve at a homeless shelter or just go help a little old lady walk across the street instead of sitting in your room trying to come up with hateful and ignorant words to post.
