  • Love these old clips! Any idea of the year on this one?

  • Early 60's -- I think Rusty was gone by 1964. Some Plainsmen "experts" could probably give an exact date.

  • @adkinsda this was before the "happy Goodmans"

  • @RonsGurl82488

    yes I know

  • That's my dad playing the piano!!! He died when I was two...thank you so much for this. Larry Denham was his name..I wish I could have known him.

  • I forgot to mention in the comment below that I first saw the Plainsmen in the late 50's. I would love to see a video of Jay Simmons.

  • i love the part when they slow down!

  • @cary19642003 you are soooo right dude...I know nothing about the farce called "music". I surrender my freedom of speech on this post. I shall let them suck in peace. You've got a point. I will just drink my yoo hoo and sthu.

  • @cary19642003 c'mon dude....don't use the gospel hall of fame to validate. This is the same "organization that inducted elvis presley and Johnny Cash into the gospel HOF. You are are indeed right if I can't something nice then I will not say anything at all. If only the whole world wide web would take your advice. God bless you. The still suck though.

  • @jerrynuevo Yea that's why they were inducted into the gospel music hall of fame. If you knew anything at all about the music of the time, these guys were the POWERHOUSES of gospel power quartets. If you can't say anything nice say nothing at all!

  • @wendythev Greetings, I am the Nephew of Original Plainsmen Bass singer Joe B. Davis. Joe left due to illness in 1957. He is sorely missed. I have an original 78 of this song from that time with Joe singing on it and it still amazes me! I have extensive record collection (original) and information on this quartet if anyone needs it. This particular video is circa 1962. Feel free to contact me!

  • Is it possible to take any more soul out of this song like those dudes did.....good grief.

  • Nice!!! I love the singers and piano Style...

  • did you like sing with yoour brothers
