Why is this only apparently funny to men, I'm a woman and I laughed at this. It's true the media do seem to think there is always something wrong with us, I've never felt bloated in my life, but yoghurt is tasty...

When arguing the opposite view you must ask loaded questions. In this case I was highlighting the fact that this person considered the situation superficially and his conclusion is completely wrong when considered it in the correct light.

Advertisers exploit the women's sensitivity and response to criticism but also exploit the man's response to praise and massaging of the ego. Women are not advertised at in this way because their inferior but because they respond to it. Are you saying that the women's nature is inferior?
