the tea party wasnt a far right / republican thing it is now when it first started. the occupy wall st ppl are maybe born democrats but wouldnt call themselves dems anymore. but the revolution that surely is coming at some point in the next 20yrs need to be demonized and marginalized by the big money elites so half the poor fights the other half. when the original tea party had mad white black rich poor dems and repubs demanding for rights and economic justice they knew it had 2 b co-opted

Well said, good clear analysis, well thought out.. I think there is a pattern, yes. It is always good to read bwtween the lines and put 2+2 together. What we can do is keep trying to bring about peacefull change. By getting elected to office we change from within. Violence is horrible and sometimes a revolution is violent and it takes years to recover. On the other hand, keep thinking, and getting educated and getting elected. That's where the power is.

You realise of course government always have a 'license to kill'; to maintain the rule of law the monopoly on the 'legitimate use of violence' must rest with the democratic state, else you and I could go out and exact our own punishments legally on those we have a rationale to punish. Police shootings and executions are prime examples of the state utilising it's license to kill. Then there's war were your govt gives itself permission to kill civilians by the thousands...

Look, when people are faced with the possibility of great change (and especially when you have people like Glenn Beck 'stirring the pot' of chaos and fear mongering) people, particularly people of the fringe of society, go crazy and occasionally end up shooting people or flying planes into buildings. Especially if these people feel like they have nothing to lose. (Not to mention this was during the very heated health care debate.) It's that simple.

at acidmillionaires, do you know what exactly this technology was? I think JPB might have just been a complete whack job, who was connected with the government and may have been set up. Or maybe he was just a lone nut. Either way, I think this happened because he was just off his rocker.
