the protector to the west Byakko had a bitter rivalry with the protector of the East Seiryuu . one day the protector of the West hears news of seiryuu's first son. this enrages byakko, that his rival can have a son before him. so byakko comes up with a plan. because gods cannot break the rules set for them, Byakko plans to have his son kill seiryuu's first born son. if his first born son is dead, he cannot pass on his throne. years pass, when Yoshimitsu son of Seiryuu and Verdandy and Byakko's son who goes by the name RED ONI, continue their parents bitter rivalry. but soon both men fall for the same woman. yoshimitsu is set to wed her when Oni tries to dissolve the couple and take her for himself only to end up killing her.deeply enraged, yoshimitsu sets out to kill Oni. after a long and brutal battle, both men kill each other. Yoshi stabs Oni in the Heart, in order to let Oni know Yoshimitsu's heartbreak. Oni stabs Yoshimitsu in the throat, so that Yoshimitsu could not talk to his lover even in death.

where their bodies lay, a mysterious prophecy is placed, from where even the Gods know not. the runes show a single man with 2 spheres in each hand.

in the near future, a man stands on a hill holding an ancient book taken from whose know where. he attempts to resurrect Oni and control him to take over the world. the man chants the words which brings about a Gateway(portal) from which Oni is summoned. the man attempts to order Oni only to find himself killed by him instead. Oni not in the best of health flees the area. with the man Dead, there is no one to close the gateway. this gateway is set to randomly jump from one dimension to another, summoning creatures and objects that have never touched this dimension before.

After witnessing this atrocity, the gods send their favorite Guardin, Reedire, to find the reincarnation of Yoshimitsu, in order to stop Red Oni and close the Gateway.

not only was yoshimitsu found but a grand team of crusaders join forces together in order to save their different worlds from Red Oni's destruction
