24-06-10 - Harley Davidson Fat Boy Special

So this will be my last Harley for a while, before I move onto some Victory's, Triumphs, and some Japanese cruisers!

So what have the legendary American bike company sent me? Well its a Fat Boy Special, with Matt Black finish, and a whole world of chrome, and of course the usual grunty V -Twin, so what would i make of it on first impression??

Actually - wait till you see the Victory Hammer s, and compared to the Rocket 3 or V rod, its rather tame, but a lot of fun still!

yeah its cos with all cruisers (becuase they havent got fairings, over 100mph would be rather windy lol) the go for lower down torque and grunt to give you more accelration!

Thats why on cruisers, don't worry about the BHP so much, but the Torque figures! Sawwwwweeeeetttt!

What's with the whole British 'let's attach a bike to a number-plate' thing? Christ - has the British bureaucracy no sense of aesthetics? Oh, yeah, it's a bureaucracy . .

It's a shame Harley Davidson turned into a bunch of money hungry sobs becuase that harley sure looks good. But price / technology ratio ain't worth it anymore, there's better brands out there.

@motorcycleluke never thought about that(not haveing a fairing), ive ben looking to get a Gladius or a GS500f for my first real bike, bought Kawasaki 550ltd in my early 20's but never got it leagal, ive ben around Harleys all my life and started looking over the fence an like waht i see alot, lol. All i thought when i saw a sport bike was, look at the crotch rochet.But they are awsome pieces of machinery crusers are nice to i guess =) ill probly get a cruiser when im 60 :)
