  • what websites would you recommend for reliable, quality parts with fair prices

  • @theusedish tigerdirect, zipzoomfly, newegg, frys if you have one near you

  • All these new parts.. do you have to het a new case? Or can you use something old, like a case for a Compaq presario ? :D It would have been awesome to have a "old" over powered gaming rig

  • @Zlee4567 as long as the case is compatible with the motherboard. most boards are "ATX" and the case should be ATX compliant.

  • How much do you think it would cost to build a good gaming pc from scratch?

  • @Imfingbob it really depends on how much you want to spend. anywhere from 1k and up

  • @mistert2506 gaming = video card + CPU (processor) personal use= RAM + hard drive (performance and size)

  • @mistert2056 gaming= video card + CPU (processor) personal use = RAM + HDD (hard drive)

  • You make some really weird analogies between the components and organs. But good tutorial regardless.

  • can anyone tell me the best parts for a pc that will be used for gamming and personal use?

  • @Brezzo screw newegg. get it from tigerdirect. not only is tigerdirect cheaper, but tigerdirect only charge $10 for shipping your entire order. Tigerdirect also don't add tax while newegg charges tax for every items while charging several bucks for every item, which can add up really quick. Two best sites to get parts from = TigerDirect and Amazon

  • Thumb's up if you are watching this in 2011 :)

  • @Imfingbob I built a friend of mine a solid budget gaming rig for 370$. It can play Crises 2 on medium to high settings btw. Just to give you an idea of strengths. Assuming you have the mouse, keyboard, monitor, and the desired OS then it can be a good price. My friends build uses DDR3 RAM totaling 8GBs(sadly a stick was dead so only 4 until I buy him another), and an AM3 processor that had three cores. We unlocked a 4th easy. =] IT REALLY DOESN'T NEED TO BE EXPENSIVE!!!

  • @Imfingbob You can build a nice amd gaming computer for like $700, with basic parts (1055T cpu) and 4gb of ram, a nice video card and a monitor. If you're from the US, look on newegg.com and you'll find some great deals on parts.
