One year ago - May 4, 2007 - General Hospital introduced its best new character: Kate Howard. Off screen, she immediately captured the hearts of fans, while on screen, she caught the attention of Sonny Corinthos - for the second time. Twenty years prior, in Bensonhurst, she had been his high school sweetheart, his first love - Connie Falconeri.
Over the course of the last year, the two not only reunited, but also embarked on an amazing journey of joy, tears, laughter, and most of all, love. Their love story is a roller coaster ride of events and emotions, and yet, they are absolutely perfect together - meant to be with each other always.
General Hospital struck gold when actress, Megan Ward, joined the cast and debuted in the role of Kate. Her exquisite portrayal of the character has added the perfect touch to General Hospital. Alongside actor, Maurice Benard, the two have brought to life the SKate relationship through their amazing chemistry. Megan and Maurice - thank you for giving us the gift of SKate. We appreciate all your hard work!
