I've been meaning to do this video ever since I started on YouTube almost 4 years ago. With a newly installed, bigger hard drive and Easter fast approaching, I thought I would finally take on the most ignored passage in the Bible. Probably because following it takes more time and effort than all the Ten Commandments combined.

"Thou shalt not kill"? For most of us, a cinch. "Observe the Sabbath Day"? Once a week for two hours. Not a problem. "Raise up a child in the way he should go"!? 24 hours a day, seven days a week for eighteen years, maybe longer!? Mister, them's fightin' words;-)

Maybe if this particular passage was the 11th Commandment instead of being buried in the Book of Proverbs, it would get the attention it deserves. As it is, the courts and various states' Family Services departments end up picking up the wreckage.

And no, the person I'm portraying here was not, is not, and will never be me. But I've known more than a few of them.

  • "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).

  • @oNallieGirl "Live in peace"!? "Be holy!?" I live in the third-largest city in the United States. To live here without being eaten alive, those two things are not usually options.

  • @artistmac lol do you believe in Heaven?

  • @oNallieGirl I believe that heaven and hell are where you make them. And I plan to make my little bit of heaven right here on earth. And the people a mile away from me can live in hell if they want, but I plan to keep dialing 911 and writing to my elected officials and utility company CEO's to force change. And when you're trying to convince them that something is a problem, pictures and video seem to help ;)

  • racially you look very weird. like a Puerto Rican or something. no problem with the immigration police? also your accent is weird

  • @TheSunmanho I'm a South Side Chicago boy born and raised. I did have a run-in with the Chicago Police 3 years ago as I was shooting the series on Robert Taylor Homes. Seems several neighbors called them reporting a "Hispanic" man shooting video of the nearby Metra trains. I'm not Hispanic (I'm black), but it has become an issue as I've gotten older and my hair has gotten curlier and less kinky. My accent? Blame it on my parents (dad's a Chicago native, Mom's from Texas).
