What fool does,nt like it?

Interesting that he changed the words from: "The things that you liable to read in the Bible," to "The things that the preacher is liable to teach you..." The change certainly seems timely today.

Amazing! What a voice. It is eternal.

Robeson indeed had a great voice, but his note-perfect version completely misses the spirit of this song- it's sung by a dope pusher and should sound that way. The opening lyric is even altered so the Bible is not besmirched!

Good God what a VOICE!

What a voice he's got! A good song.

Beautiful. I still think that this song was written for a tenor voice, but Robeson is an amazing singer nevertheless.

These young kids don't know nothing about this great entertainer. Simply beautiful

Great voice. Stunned I can't find him singing Swing Low Sweet Chariot though.
So if I could have seen Porgy and Bess with Paul Robeson performed live, I would have died of happiness right then and there. True story.

So clean, so clear! Like hearing a bell ring. A really unappreciated performer.
