  • Excellent! Our 'tiels have had lots of babies and this is making me nostalgic for all of them. Tomorrow I'll give each in the flock an extra tickle in memory . . .

  • :) Aiiii! Um amor! beijinho do Brazil! Adri:)

  • esse video me tocou !!!

  • nice

  • @xradelox Oh no, the emery board is fine. They love those. There are also cuttle bones. I'm just commenting on how well you are taking care of them. I raised them long ago and have seen some real horrors from pet shop breeders. I kept mine. I wasn't going to make a business out of it.

  • @Kaisarfire But I think it's more that he doesn't like having his head held. Don't worry I'm gentle and he still loves me after :) He gives me kisses... but we have to file it because in the wild things they do and eat keep their beaks from getting too long. But he doesn't have that luxury. And also when he plays with us he likes to gnaw on our hands and even though he's gentle and doesn't use much pressure, if his beak is sharp it hurts. But I would never clip. Too dangerous.

  • @Kaisarfire I actually don't have to file my cockatiel's beak. It never gets sharp. Although he's almost 28 so maybe it just doesn't grow much anymore o_O But I have a caique and I do file his beak when I gets a little to long and sharp. I use a nail file (not a metal one) and when I'm done with the tip he likes to rub the sides of his beak will i hold the file still. He likes that part but he obviously doesn't like it when I file it.
