@Hanmoooo So what happens is Tamahome comes from the book to the human world and lives with Miaka. But someone else opened the book, which means all the characters from the book are needed. Tamahome being a character, was pulled back in and since Yui and Miaka are also priestesses they will eventually be pulled back in too, until the story ends again.
