It is now little known fact that The Gentrys were the only performers that took Beatles of the Number One spot for the entire existence of the Beatles. Who knows what more would happen if they didn't break up and Jimmy didn't meet Jerry Lawler and went to wrestling.

I loved Jimmy Hart because he reminds me of me as kid.
Whereas Paul Jones (manager in the NWA) was like the bully I wanted to get revenge on, because in my life (and like the real guy) I wanted to kick his ass but he had too many men to hide behind.

Tommy Rich was one of the top stars in the old NWA territory system. He was the NWA World Heavyweight Champion for 1 week in 1981,and a staple in the Georgia and Tennessee territories in the 70's and 80's.

Gentrys were the first and only band that took Beatles off top of the all charts. Next time someone else was on top was after Beatles split up

It's flat out amazing how great an actor Hart was. Abrasive in the arena, but very humbled and sincere away from the ring. Makes him a great man! Congrats, Jimmy. You deserve this!
