Paris Slim & Peter Dammann perform Muddy Waters @ Aladdin Therter

Paris Slim, Aka Franck Goldwasser is one of the more amazing performers to appear in the Portland music scene this decade. He hails from Europe and actually brings a very cultured and authentic understanding of the blues tradition to the stages he haunts. "Believe I will" puts the thrill back in "dancing to the blues" for the crowd you cannot see in this video. Paired with another of Portland's blues and guitar phenomenon, Peter Dammann, this cut puts chills down the backs of most any blues fan. Dave Kahl's very appropriate and skillful bass lines merged with Jeff Minnick's seasoned drumming make this a very cool band to experience "Live". In the name of the great Paul deLay, this benefit concert raised money for Portland's "Ethos" music school for young people.
