SEATTLE CITY ELECTIONS, Nov. 2007.

Prop 1 is the $17.8 billion roads and transit measure (50 miles of light rail and 152 miles of general purpose lanes). The Stranger Election Control Board ended up coming out against the measure.

The debaters are:
Pro-Prop 1 (L-R)—campaign spokesman Sandeep Kaushik, Rob Johnson from Transportation Choices Coalition, and Bill LaBoard from WashPIRG.

Anti-Prop 1 (L-R) Mike O'Brien from the Sierra Club, David Hiller from the Cascade Bicycle Clube, and Mike McGinn from the Sierra Club.

The Stranger Election Control Board is:
Erica C. Barnett, Josh Feit, Tim Keck, Jonah Spangenthal-Lee, Eli Sanders, Dan Savage, Ari Spool, and Annie Wagner.

  • Global warming is caused by humans. Light rail is a great idea! 

  • I vote for Thomas the tank engine. :) Trains are awesome

  • Global warming is not caused by humans. Do MORE research guys. The greenhouse gases argument is debunked in more ways than one.
