I was really disappointed that Charlie ended up with Carrie (even though I knew it would end this way) and thought he should have chosen Fiona instead. She had much more class, personality, and wit than Carrie. The song is "Can't Smile Without You" by The Carpenters.

Totally agreed!!...Carrie was nothing compared to Fiona.
Maybe it's just that Kristin Scott Thomas is a much better actress than Andie MacDowell.

I adore Kristin Scott Thomas in this movie. She's wonderful.
