Maha Bodhi Buddhist Center Attacked by Tamil Extremist

The Monday evening attack on Bodhimaya, the Buddhist centre in the capital city of Tamil Nadu was allegedly carried out by members of a fringe group Naam Tamizhar which is led by pro-LTTE film director Seeman, Indian Media reports.
India had earlier strongly raised the issue of safety of it's fishermen with Sri Lanka and Colombo had denied it's navy's involvement. The high commissioner says the navy would not fire on fishermen even if they stray into Sri Lankan waters.
Sri Lanka yesterday said its navy would not fire at Indian fishermen even if they had crossed the maritime boundary and suspected the role of some 'third party' behind the recurring incidents.
"The Sri Lankan Navy is not involved in these attacks and we are equally concerned. We want to find out who did this. The Sri Lankan Navy will not have fired at Indian fishermen even if they had crossed into our waters," Sri Lankan high commissioner to India Prasad Kariyawasam said.

How sad for the attacker that he attacked Maha Bodhi Buddhist Centre. I wonder if he realizes that real Buddhists feel for the Tamil People and their predicament. I'm not talking about the Sri Lankan Government; I know how they treated the Tamils, and it was wrong in many instances. Rather, I'm talking about Buddhists who actually follow what the Buddha taught, which is to hate no-one, and to care for all, whatever race they may come from.
