  • cool set up m8 you have got to laugh its funny how every one on here knows best eh thats some tank you have well smart my local fish shop sells these now i am thinking of getting em to any tips or hints you can get me would be great thanks

  • @donnar307

Well the best tip/hint i can give you on doing anything pet/animal related is do research BEFORE buying anything...

A lot of people just go the store and buy the things they see and then 2 months later have to spend more money on the things they should have bought, Turtles are not as easy to keep as people think and they need a lot more things compared to other pets, Which means more money and more work.

  • Question: Did you ever separate your guppy fry? Or did all your guppys naturally survived I'm thinkning about breeding a lot.

  • @RazorWizkid

In a tank like this whith so many hiding places and such they just survive, I wouldn't reccomend "breeding" them though...

It will eventually overstock a tank and nobody is going to buy them from you...

  • Your doing GREAT!!! AMEN.

  • @RazorWizkid I breed mine, and if you have enough hides, and the adults are fed regularly, they should be fine. Its okay if some are eaten, because you dont want too many. I have a beautiful male for sale, cheack him out in my videos. He is an amazing breeder :)

  • good turtles. mine almost ate all my colourful guppies:(

  • @beEasy2011

If your water is clean and you dont have to clean the filter too often then you are good as you are,

But canisters (bigger ones) are much easier to work with usually, Less filter cleanings and would have more water flow...

If you decide to get a Fluval FX5 then you would only need one, They are very powerful filters and will clean 75 gallons easily.

  • @beEasy2011 are canister filters better. i was thinking of setting up one at each end.

  • @BIGGESTxxEMINEMxxFAN new to this, whats a sump? I have a 75 gallon tank with a Aqua-clear 110 and a 100 watt heater. i have two turtles with a nice sun bathing area. im worried the filter inst good enough.

    any advice?
