The iconic "Pearl and Dean" logo from the 1970s and early 1980s as seen in British Cinemas prior to and after the advertisements. The music is by Pete Moore - called "Asteroid" - and is still being used by Pearl and Dean today in a re-recorded version.

  • Used to love listening to this in the cinema with the usher or usherette and the silly uniform come round with ice cream and the torch

  • Memories of Gravesend fleapit in the late 80's - Pearl & Dean, the miserable old bag with a torch & tray of half melted ice creams, local takeaways and the advert everyone laughed at "You can't beat a Škoda".

Followed by a Disney cartoon, and Johnny Five!

Then cannon took over in 1990 and ruined it!

  • And now our feature presentation!

  • I have always loved this little tune!!! I even have it as a ring tone on my mobile phone :) Its a classic, that shouldn't be updated!!!
