  • I don't have a daughter, but if I ever do I hope she turns out as beautiful, talented, and cultured as yours, mshorts. You have every reason to be proud of her.

  • @SimuLord - Thanks, I'm very lucky to have two wonderful daughters.

  • Where did those kids come from? Were they imported from Europe? Nobody in schools around here have voices like that! Kudos to those schools for having music programs in the face of repeated budget cutbacks! Many school districts want to eliminate music programs altogether. This is why they shouldn't. Thank you for posting.

  • @carrotjuse Thanks for your kind comments, however the Peninsula Teen Opera is not a public school program. It is a regional private program funded by tuition and private donations. Alas it has shut down after the 2009-2010 season.

My daughter, who was 14 years old at the time of this performance, is now studying voice and opera at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.

  • Very good...tell your daughter to go and take it to the next level. Make her sing the queen of the night arias...or better yet tell her to try O zittre nicht. I hope you post it here in you tube. Thanks for posting.

  • @fullofcrappings Nicole is more of a mezzo soprano. She was Cherubino in the Weimar Lyric Opera performance of The Marriage of Figaro in 2011.

  • Mr. M shorts. Gracias, gracie , merci and of course THANK You. You should be proud!!.

  • The kids are amazing, but I'm not sure I like it in English. The translation is not the problem, but it doesn't sound as good when I can understand what they're saying -- maybe that's because then I find myself concentrating on the words and not the music.

  • Brings back memories. Great susanna! Figaro could be more truthful. Susanna has him around her finger but he doesn't seem to care. He could project more! But still for his age wonderful.

  • just beautiful!

  • Amazing voices...

I don't even know what to say...

    Stunning?
