Nocturne No. 6 in D flat, Op. 63 (1894)
A nocturne for solo piano by French composer Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924). The soloist is the late Lithuanian Jewish pianist Vlado Perlemuter, who studied under Moritz Moszkowski, Alfred Cortot and Maurice Ravel. Graduating from the Conservatoire de Paris at age 15, Perlemuter won First Prize with a performance of Fauré's "Thème et variations" in the presence of the composer himself.
