At the times in the new Star Trek when Spock says "Live Long and Prosper" it is supposed to sound like that.

@sondano Yes. Leonard Nimoy perfectly captures the subtlety and complexity of Spock's tightly contained emotions. That's vital to a character who is half emotionless Vulcan and half irrational human. Quinto's performance fell flat for me. He will simply never be Spock.

0:19 - 0:22 when you look at that you know what you will never get with Quinto. Why has subtleness disappeared from modern acting? Everything is in your face nowadays both on TV and in movies. The only subtle moment in the new movie was when Quinto made live long and prosper sound like fuck you. And that was the point when I said enough was enough and left the theater. Later watched the DVD and the rest of the movie was even worse.
