@androkyle Hi I googled it, looks good. If I ever go to the states I will try find some proper Jerkey, it will be one of the first things on my list to try!

@nataliedutoit24 Sounds like you haven't tried the right jerky. I've tried some jerky they way you've described it (mostly cheap, generic stuff in convenience stores). But most of the jerky I've tried has tasted the way you described biltong. Search "deer jerky" on Google Images and tell me it looks like anything you've ever tried.

For dried meat nothing tastes better than South African biltong...beef jerky is not biltong. Biltong is totally unique. Ask a South African for help the next time you want to make Billy's

@Mattjudo26 Well ,because he's a farmer he's got that kinda accent , if you listen to English Farmers , you hear a resemblance to Rednecks lol

Ive tasted different flavours of jerky. To me by the time its done it doesnt even taste like meat. Its too thin and the flavour is pretty common. Biltong is not the same as Jerky. Biltong is a delicacy and the pieces of meat are big dried tender with a mixture of spices to make a flavour nothing has. Not thin road kill with burger flavours.

I'm sure his biltong is nice, but I would rather buy biltong from a proper South African.

I wonder how long that guy lived in the US? His accent is still very American even though he's moved back to England, and that's coming from a yank!
